Calling all (five?) people who read this site and live within three hours of central Connecticut. As fall approaches true mountain biking season has finally arrived; the time to get together for a mountain biking extravaganza is now. Although previous Fetishfest planning has been derailed in the past cough the DD Bathing suit comment cough, fortunately the past is not the future, i.e. Trumbull is out. :(

Discussions of post-ride beer varieties, availability to meet (dates), and proposed trails to ‘rip’ shall commence. The worm awaits, let us not disappoint it. Leave your input if you’ve read this.

Thanks
-Dan

I’ve got half my stuff in boxes and I’ll be moving out to CT in a little over a week. I’ve read about the trails out there from the CT guys here. Past six months has been rough, this last job kicked my ass. thoroughly. rode seldom and saw sunlight even less, and am now officially a fat bastard, by my standards at least (which are low). got to get it together if i am going to ride with the brothers Roth, especially on the trails they have been writing about, which sound great and awesomely dissimilar to the one we all met up on; I’ve only ridden in CT once, and I know the JEEP ROAD can only get better than that. granted, in the off times we were not stationary that day, i wasn’t tearing the place up or anything. got a good feeling this is going to be a good summer though. want to get faster, stronger, improve my skills, slim down, and spend time outside. hoping CT proves to be as good a place to do all those things as I antipate it to be; truck leaves on the 26th. road riding looks promising from the last trip made out there. hoping it’ll get me more ready for the trail. did I say trail, meant to say JEEP ROAD! need more JEEP ROAD!

I am going to be spending a lot of time in CT over the next three years and know jack about the trails up there. I am hoping to meet up with some folks that know them well; mark, adam, eric, etc. if you all don’t mind showing them to me this summer. Not looking for any drops, skinny’s, or rollers yet just places to ride out in central to eastern CT.
hope you’ve all been well, dan

Three weeks ago I got to ride some top of the line 32mm, 36mm, and 40mm forks that my friend has on his bikes and I was sold. Technology has come a long way in the past eight to ten years – speaking of which, I have two forks from that era for sale, a 98 RS Judy XC and a 99 Answer Manitou SX ti (it might be a 00)…yes, that one with the titanium springs and tons of notoriety.
