In an ideal situation, I’d buy an extra set of rims in order to just change up on the fly. But that’s not realistic to me. Instead I’m going to buy a set of slicks and put them on my bike until the trails dry up.

Anyone have any thoughts about MTB slicks? I’m thinking that I want wide as possible, but I really don’t know to much about tires.

I am looking for some advice / tips. I ride at a couple different places. The only two times I’ve ridden at one location (which is mega fun) I’ve blown out tubes. Opposite tires. One was at the end of the trail, the other one was in the middle (which equaled a heck of a long walk). I realize I’m an idiot for not carrying an extra tube or patch kit with me, but that’s not the advice I’m looking for. I am wondering if anyone has any methods or tips for preventing this, like putting peanut butter on your sneakers or something crazy. I understand that there may not be anything I can do about it, but i thought that i would float this around. Thanks in advance.
