Ok, so I’m really excited about this. I just put my deposit down on my quarter (maybe half) sleeves I’ve been planning for a while. So here’s the run down. It’s going to be both arms, right arm with a depiction of Dante’s Inferno, left arm with a depiction of Dante’s Paradiso. The right will have the word Sinner worked in on the inside of my arm and left will have Saint. To explain the meaning behind this: I, like every man, have the constant internal struggle of good and evil, my dominant outcomes have mostly been, well, not good. That is why the inferno goes on my right side, it’s my dominant side. But the left will always be there to try just as hard to try to compensate. So I’m not just getting it to look cool, haha. The great part about the whole thing is I found an artist that is as excited as me about it and is even going to try a new method of making the finished piece look like an oil painting. Well, I’ll be sure to post up pictures when I start.
Cheers
So this weekend I made the decision to retire the Discipline frame, at least for now. I will probably rebuild it later on, but for now, she’s wall decoration in my bedroom. I am going to build a Reynolds 853 frame up with most of the parts. I am going to buy a lighter fork, most likely a Fox vanilla, and a new crankset which will probably be a Shimano XT hollowtech. I am also going to run Stan’s No-Tubes instead of the heavy tubes I am forced to run here in CO. The frame I am going to buy is available through Bike Nashbar for $289, so I thought it would be a fun project. I need to think of a nice paint/graphics theme, but I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep it clean and simple. I am also upgrading the Fixation (if Eric gets back to me) by getting a fetish full carbon fork and running it rigid. I need to get a new wheelset for her, but I’ll probably end up building a set with some XT hubs, Mavic rims and maybe some bladed DT spokes. I want to have the wheels all polished instead of black. I might even look into buying Phil Wood or Surly Hubs, since it is a single speed. Anyways…that’s some of the updates.
This guys is amazing…I’ve been addicted to his blogs.
So I finally updated the bikes…The Track turned into a single speed trainer, the Ankh got a sweet face lift, and I put actual pics of the new 928 up…enjoy

it seems like this is all they report on now…..kinda sad
