I became interested in Thresholds when I saw an advertisement for new volunteers in the Herald so I made a call to find out about the training. Each prospective volunteer has to complete a weekend training program which is held twice a year, (March and September) and a two hour security training. The training gives the prospective volunteer an opportunity to find out if this program is for them and also for Thresholds to make a decision as to whether the program would be a good fit for that person
I have been teaching Thresholds for 5 years, I enjoy it every time, if I didn’t I would not keep doing it. Every cycle is different as every client is different and I learn more from the clients I work with, I am sure than they learn from me. It is a great experience every time. There is a large population in these three facilities and it feels good to be giving something to my community. Live to ride.
