I ran my first 10km of the season Sunday (June 4th). Did 40:27. Not bad considering I suffered the whole time. Man, those short races are hard. Now I’m starting my preparation for my August 27th Marathon here in Quebec City. I look forward to the cross-training days where I will train on my bike…

The snow is melting in Quebec. I can’t wait to get back on my bike and ride it outside. I rode on my trainer a lot this winter and even destroyed 2 tires. If I knew, I would have bought a cheap tire for the trainer only but when I realized that my rear tire melted (literally!) I told myself what the heck I’ll rotate them and change them both in the spring.

So here I am looking to buy tires… any ideas? I want tires that are light yet durable and are performing ok in the rain… (have to… it’s Quebec remember?) Thanks!

My outdoor season is over, snow is coming down in Quebec City… I’ve cleaned my bike and took pictures of it. Hope you like them.

Cheers,
Frank

Hooked up with a friend of mine Satuday and rode around Orleans Island (in front of Quebec City). It was cold but luckily not too much wind. That might have been the last ride of the year as it gets colder by the day. Actually there has been frost in the morning for the last week and a half. I’m going to the Giants-Redskins game in New York this week so there might be snow on the ground here when I come back. Trainer time I guess.
