Over the Memorial weekend we were fortunate to attend Moses Lake BMXs BIG WEEKEND of racing! We went over for their Friday evening race and stayed through Monday for the State Championship Race qualifier! The results went like this. Dirty picked up the win Friday. Close racing! He was up against a NAG (National Age Group) 10 rider who also holds the #1 plate in our district! Saturday was a Race For Life to help raise money for the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society®. He raced the same kids. He got second place that afternoon. Sunday was the Redline Cup Qualifier, Triple Point race! Again the same racers were on the track. Dirty came out of the gate and took the NAG 10 rider high in the corner, passed him and went on to win his main! Monday was the State Race. Two more riders showed up for this one. One of them was the NAG 9 rider. Dirty Qualified for the main in his first moto so he didn’t have to run the second moto. In the main, he was right in between the NAG 9 and the NAG 10 riders on the gate. They left the gate together and when they came out of the first corner, Dirty had the lead! Half way down the second straight, one shoes came unclipped!!! He was passed by one rider and was able to hang on to place second. Over the whole weekend there were a possible 800 points to be scored. He ended up with 720! What a great time! He is really coming around and not letting the nationally ranked riders bother him! That’s it for now! Ride hard! Bruce aka Dirty Burd Sr.

William got some indoor winter racing in this year. The high lights are a 2nd place at a Redline Cup Qualifier in Oregon, and making it to the Main at the Great North West Nationals pre-race on Friday and the semi finals at both days of the Nationals (Saturday and Sunday). Local races have been like last year in the Spring. Sunshine and then RAIN!! He won all four of our home races he was in this year. Other tracks in the area will be opening soon after complete rebuilds. Should be some good racing this year! GOGOGO! DB Sr.

Wouldn’t it be great if Fetish Cycles started a National BMX racing team? Or maybe some regional teams, State teams or even district or track teams? We are wanting to join up with some other Fetish Sin riders with factory support. The BMX division of Fetish Cycles seems to be gaining momentum and popularity. There are quite a number of riders out there riding brand x bikes. Some have shown interest and we would like to be able to direct them to Fetish for not only a cool ride but a good deal. I believe this would not only increase sales for Fetish Cycles but have a positive effect on ridership in what is already a growing sport. Maybe some cooperation between Fetish Cycles and the ABA? Advertisement in the ABAs magazine “BMXer” could go a long way too! As for us, we have decided to stick with Fetish Cycles for our racing bikes with or without factory backing. We love the product and have directed others to Fetish Cycles for their bicycle needs. If there are others out there that think this good idea, bring it up on your blogs and maybe e-mail Fetish directly with your ideas for “FACTORY FETISH BMX”. Just my thoughts, but great things start as just an idea. Thanks for reading, Dirty Burd Sr.
UPDATE-UPDATE-UPDATE!!! Dirty Burd has been picked up by DIABLOS RACING! The team is sponsored by FLY RACING, AVENT CYCLES, BOMBSHELL and PROFILE RACING. Looking forward to some great racing. We plan to hit some National races in Oregon, Utah and Canada this year! More later, DB Sr.
