BeanieBabyMinneSNOWtaAbout Me
Q. How did you get started? A. My dad raced BMX in the NBL back in the 70’s and 80’s and he asked if my brother and I wanted to try it. So we raced for are first time at Rehbein Area BMX in Lino Lakes, MN and we loved it. Q. Any competitive highlights? A. I started racing in 2006, I earned my first win during my sixth race (which was against older boys), I earned my second win during the Illinois State Championship Race weekend at Rockford BMX, I earned my third win during the Minnesota State Championship Race weekend at Brainerd Lakes BMX, and I earned my fourth win at a double points race at St. Michael BMX. Q. What are you planning for next season? A. I am going to move into the Girls class, earn the Minnesota State #1 Plate, and earn my first NAG # Plate during the 2007 season. Q. What has been your biggest accomplishment? A. Placing 3rd at the ABA Mid-West Nationals and earning the Minnesota State #3 Plate during my first year of racing. Q. Do you train? What does your schedule look like? A. The only training I do is at the races, because the closest BMX track to us is over a hundred miles away. But, we raced all summer, going to at least one race a week. One week, we raced 6 times (during the ABA Mid-West Nationals) and I earned 4 seconds, 1 third, and 1 seventh (after another rider took me out during the main). Q. Why do you compete? A. For fun! Q. What do you what to be when you grow up? A. I’m not sure what I want to be when I grow up, but I know I want to race forever and become a Pro someday. Q. How’s life treating you? A. Good! Q. Do you like to travel? What’s your best road trip story? A. Yeah, I like to travel. The best trip I’ve been on is when my dad took me to the ABA Mid-West Nationals. After my mom finished with her MBA class in Minneapolis at 10 o’clock at night, we had to drive to Rockford. We got there at 4 o’clock in the morning and slept in the car. After it got light out, we set up camp at the track. I took a second on Thursday and Friday, a seventh on Saturday (after being taken out by another rider during the main), and a third on Sunday in the rain. Then we drove to Elgin to my Grandparent’s house and I raced Tuesday at The Hill BMX and took another second. Then we had to drive back up to Minneapolis so my mom could get to her MBA class and finally on Thursday we drove to Hull Rust BMX in Hibbing, and I took yet another second. Q. Do you have any sponsors? A. Yes, I am sponsored by Intense Tire Systems and Sinz. I also race for Wheeled Assualt/Radd Racing Team, which is sponsored by a bunch of companies. My Bikes
