nothing to do with bikes
Posted by scooby on March 04, 2007

Ok well it sort of does. I wanted a small rv to get me and my wife to the races and wanted something like a vw westfalia but a little bigger and being a toyota man through and through—have been driving them since I could drive. Started with a 1982 4×4 then a 1984 4×4 xtracab to a 87 4×4 extra cab to my 1999 tacoma 4×4 extracab which I still drive today. I found a 1982 toyota rv that I could buy for 2 grand and it only had 65,000 miles on the original engine. It was actually my wifes birthday gift in 2004. I wanted to document my 3 year rv restoration.

It started rough—looking and running like a crackhouse on wheels.

The fun began when I decided that the roof was too far gone for repair so I decided to just take the whole thing apart and thats where this photo journal begins.

I love this post - I can't get over what you did to that motorhome - and it's the ultimate race support vehicle. you should put together a photoalbum and keep it in the truck of how it used to look so you can show everyone. anyway, nice job! How many miles does that engine have on it now?
