finally after four years of abuse on my single speed, the frame cracked! The crack is by the seat tube. I think I got one of the first single speed frames because it says “Disipline” on the top tube. I’m very disappointed it cracked only because I can’t get the same replacement. Meaning, I’m sure it is one of very few. Now its the fixation, (no big deal) but they only come in gloss black or red. Mine is flat black with blue pearl. I called fetish yesterday, and whomever I talked to was VERY helpful! Just depressing, I’ve grown very attached to this bike. I’ll get over it!

OK Adam, I dug up the actual email, it's from Michael Tretter who at the time said he was the owner. He at the time said " were too small to have anyone else do my work, I don't trust anyone to do my welding. So I am just getting caught up. Your bike should go out tomorrow." Take it the way you want to but that to me sounds like it was welded here. And I am curious if the company was sold or if he was the owner or not?!

when I bought this frame four and a half years ago, I talked to ( I think ) Dave or Mike. They were finishing welding it up for me when he had to delay it a week because of surgery. It was one of the first single speed frames he made. thats why it still says discipline on it! I like the frame, I just like AMERICAN made too! I saw what happened to Santa Cruz when they shipped theirs out! I have an American made 1998 Superlight that my son still rides and a 2004 superlight that is cracked from my other son. Not that american made won't crack, I think they last longer. My 2 cents!

Third: Keep on their asses. Eric broke FOUR d&s frames... all of which were replaced for free (not without some waiting and shipping problems, however).

Second question; Are you 100% sure that original frame was USA made? Looks EXACTLY like the stuff that comes out of China. Who told you this?

Yeah, right, warranty??? after the frame sitting there for two weeks, they decided to look at it AFTER I called to find out about it! Then I get the " it's going to be 8 weeks before we get another shipment in of 19 inch frames. I don't want a taiwan frame! Mine was made here in USA! So I told them to weld it and send it back. That was four weeks ago. So much for "We are in the business of building bikes, but we are also in the business of customer service and will accept nothing less than 100% customer satisfaction."
