Well, a buddy from work came up to me on Monday saying, “I’m buying a bike off of a guy for $200 tonight, could you check it our for me?” So he brings in this bike and it’s and old crappy FS frame, I think it might be a first model Weyless, with cob-job pivot hardware. It had about 2-3mm of play in the linkage. After noticing all that, I still told him I’d try to tune it and make it better. So I stripped it down, tried everything I could, and it still had a lot of rear play (hehe…rear-play). Still thinking I could get it to work, I decided to test ride it. When I sat on the bike, it felt like a 15" frame under me, and the guy I’m doing this for is 6’3". That was the last straw. I called him and told him that there was no way in hell this bike would work BUT I happen to have a 20.5" Discipline custom frame I’d be willing to donate to the cause that is just sitting around. So after that agreement, I swapped the frames within an hour and now he is going to be the proud new owner of my Custom Fetish Discipline frame.
