In an ideal situation, I’d buy an extra set of rims in order to just change up on the fly. But that’s not realistic to me. Instead I’m going to buy a set of slicks and put them on my bike until the trails dry up.
Anyone have any thoughts about MTB slicks? I’m thinking that I want wide as possible, but I really don’t know to much about tires.

I put on a pair of Kenda Kommunters on and instantly noticed the difference. It's incredible. I compare to running with ankle weights and then taking them off. It'll be a pain in the ass when I want to put the mtn tires back on, but I can deal with it.

I've only really seen people use semi-slicks on the trail (as opposed to the slicks that sold for use on pavement). I'd look into some of the one that have the low profile in the center and some real bite out on the perimeter, starting at 2.1 and going up from there. my two cents worth. let us know what you put on the bike.
