I read in Mountain Bike Action Magazine that Manitou was coming out with a new R7 thats supposedly weighs 2.7 lbs, does anyone know when they will be available? And Scooby, did you see anything about it at Interbike? Would it be a good upgrade from the R7 that comes with the Discipline?

Alright, thanks, now i may be building a new bike, a 2006 Marin XC frame, just depends, my Fetish is in the shop right now for rear rim repairs, so i need an FS rig, and the frame is 549 new

I did check them out at interbike. they had problems last year and now are owned by hayes which spices some things up. For better or worse is still to be seen. yes it is 2.7 lbs. I didnt get a chance to ride one yet. We have a fox fork availble for the team this year so we should talk about that one also. It is more spendy. Im running the 2007 r7 super and it is dialed for my style of riding. well talk soon.

Thanks, but the video didnt load completely for me, im trying to stay with the team sponsers, but ill at least wait until i know if we have new sponsers before i upgrade

I gave up on Manitou after no bike shop in my area could get in touch with them for over 2 months following the buy-out. So instead of rebuilding the piece of shit they made I bought a Fox -- I suggest you do the same.
