I am looking for some advice / tips. I ride at a couple different places. The only two times I’ve ridden at one location (which is mega fun) I’ve blown out tubes. Opposite tires. One was at the end of the trail, the other one was in the middle (which equaled a heck of a long walk). I realize I’m an idiot for not carrying an extra tube or patch kit with me, but that’s not the advice I’m looking for. I am wondering if anyone has any methods or tips for preventing this, like putting peanut butter on your sneakers or something crazy. I understand that there may not be anything I can do about it, but i thought that i would float this around. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, tubeless is the best way. I haven't flatted in three years also. I wear the tires out before i get a flat.

Tubeless is the way to go. Just to bad that on my second race using tubeless this season i sliced my side wall in a rock garden that the sealant couldn't fix because the side wall kept flexing. So other than that... They are great! :-) It did save me though to bring a extra inner during that race because it would've been a pain to complete the rest of 24 hours of 9 mile otherwise.

Eric forgot to mention that he puts peanut butter on his shoes every time he rides...
