Either way, he's right, you'd make more money stripping it and selling the parts. The Fetish frame is worth about $60. Check eBay's "past auctions". The fork, stem, wheels and XT parts are all quality, but the Fetish name won't add any value to that bike. Everything has been quiet on the Fetish front for about a year now -- nobody knows if they're even doing business anymore.

Yes, I do know what you can get with $1600 with a name brand frame. You get a bike with crappy brakes that don't work for shit. Low to mid-level cranks that may or may not hold up to any kind of riding. You also get a mid-level fork that always seems to have problems. You are not going to find a full XT bike for $1600 unless you are in the industry or that particular shop is marking it down because it has been sitting for 3 years. I almost forgot that they skimp on the BB and headset as well.
