About
My old-tech, Trek 950, ChroMo, 8 speed, heavy, purple… I love that bike. Before the Fetish came along, it was all I knew. I put a new Manitou Black on it, new rims, XT all around. I did my first race with it.
Now that I have the Fetish, I put slicks on and it’s my grocery getter. I might make it a single speed.

I've got this same exact bike. I've been using it as an urban commuter, but I've just recently put big tires on there again for XC. I want to put a suspension fork on there, but I don't know what the head tube size is. It's not the old 1" standard is it? The fact that you've got a Black on there (the Black isn't that old a fork) makes me think it's a 1 and 1/8" steerer, right?

XTR hub, Spinergy wheel... that bike is a mixed bag.
