About

Posting the last pics of this bike today. I was so proud of the job I did tearing it down completely and rebuilding it for my brother. Changed a bunch of parts, cleaned and lubed the rest. I was particularly proud of all the new cables and drivetrain parts working so well when it was done. I took it out for a spin, and it was sweet! Like a brand new bike again. I decided to go for one more big ride on it before I let it go, but my brother stopped by and picked it up before I got the chance. No biggie, I probably would’ve got it dirty and broke something anyway. The icing on the cake was the handlebar tape, I’ve been practicing lately, and it turned out great (one less thing I need to go to the bike shop for). I am really going to miss this bike…

I don’t have the most recent photos since the latest upgrades (wheels, pedals, and a load of reflective tape for RAAM). This bike is lightning fast, and really ended up being perfect for the big race.

I have sold it to my brother, keeping only the TT handlebars from it. I put so many miles on this bike over the past few years, from my very first century, to the Race Across America. I am a little sad to see it go, but my priorities are changing a little now that we’re starting a family.

I am posting a pic from Cannondale’s website of what it looked like new, before it was painted and all of it’s parts were changed over and over…

My friends from Black Label Choppers re-painted it with crazy color changing paint. It goes from bright copper/gold to deep midnight blue/purpleish and a few other colors in between depending on what angle the light hits it compared to where you are standing. The pictures do it no justice.

Hey! Update the "Frame" on this bike. You've got it marked wrong :)
